NookMoney is built on a single conviction: your financial life is private. This policy explains exactly what we do — and don't — collect.

tl;dr — Your financial data never leaves your device. We have no server that stores it. We cannot see it, sell it, or lose it.
The short version
NookMoney stores everything on your device. We do not have a server that holds your financial data. We cannot read your transactions, balances, or any personal information — because it never leaves your phone.
What data we collect
We collect almost nothing. When you join the waitlist we store your email address so we can notify you at launch. That is the only personal information we ever receive. Once you are using the app, no financial data is transmitted to us or any third party.
Your financial data
All accounts, transactions, budgets, and balances you enter into NookMoney live exclusively on your device. This is not a marketing promise — it is how the app is architected. There is no NookMoney account, no sync server, and no cloud backup managed by us. If you want backups, you can use iCloud Drive or export your data directly from the app.
Analytics and crash reporting
We use Apple's built-in crash reporting (available through Xcode Organizer) to identify stability issues. This data is anonymised by Apple before we see it and contains no financial information. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs.
Waitlist email
If you join the waitlist on our website, we store your email address with Supabase (our database provider) and use Resend to send you a confirmation. We will only email you about NookMoney's launch and significant product updates. We will never sell, share, or rent your email address to anyone. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@nookmoney.app.
Third-party services
Our website is hosted on Vercel. Our waitlist database is hosted on Supabase. Our transactional email is sent through Resend. None of these services ever receive your in-app financial data. Their own privacy policies govern the limited data they process on our behalf.
Children's privacy
NookMoney is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify waitlist members by email. Continuing to use NookMoney after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
